Jesus was coming as king, but he chose to ride on a donkey to symbolize that he was coming in peace.  Even though they were drawn to him, the people did not realize that Jesus was coming to free them from something even bigger than the Romans.  He was coming to free them from their sins. In the Egg in a Bottle experiment, kids will see how an entire boiled egg is drawn inside of a bottle. \n\u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that Jesus is a king who deserves our praise because came to earth to free us from our sins.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n2) Bad Egg\n\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Luke 22:1-6, 45-52, Judas Betrays Jesus\n\nThe disciples loved and followed Jesus. So many were surprised when Judas Iscariot turned out to be a “bad egg,” betraying Jesus in exchange for 30 pieces of silver. Kids will learn a simple trick to determine whether real eggs are boiled or raw. \u003cbr\u003e\n\nObjective: Kids will learn that nothing should ever become more important to us than our relationship with Jesus\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n3) Denial\n\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75, Peter Disowns Jesus\n\nPeter let Jesus down. He had promised to never turn his back on his Savior, but it was a promise he quickly broke. The Egg Drop Experiment reminds us that even when we feel like we've let God down, God is still there to catch us and can forgive our mistakes.  \u003cbr\u003e\n\nObjective: Kids will learn that God is a God of second chances.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n4) New Life\n\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: John 19:28-20:18, Jesus' Death, Burial, and Resurrection\n\nJesus died on the cross for our sins. She knew that she was not worthy of Jesus' love. Perhaps because Jesus did not act the way Judas wanted, he went out and made plans to turn Jesus over to those who wanted to kill him. Two different people with two very different reactions to Jesus.   \n\u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that our reaction to Jesus should be love and a desire to serve.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n4) Remember\n\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: John 13:1-17, Jesus Washes The Disciples' Feet \u0026amp; Luke 22:14-23, Last Supper\n\u003cbr\u003e\nIn his last time with his disciples before his death, Jesus washed his disciples' feet and encouraged them to serve others just as he had served them. Then Jesus shared a meal with them, asking them to remember him each time they ate the bread and drank the cup together. \n\u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn we should remember the goodness of Jesus and strive to follow his example.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n5) The Only Way\n\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Mark 14:32-50, In the Garden \u0026amp; Mark 15:1-20, Jesus Before Pilate\n\u003cbr\u003e\nJesus was sad and distressed; he knew his death was coming soon. Although it was painful, in the end, Jesus went willingly.
