He is dramatic, arrogant, self-righteous, and hungry for attention. He even lies straight into the face of Jesus, about how perfect and sinless he is. And how does Jesus respond? A sinner!”\nThis prayer is juxtaposed to that of a self-promoting Pharisee, who claims to have it all together. God honors the prayer of the sinner, who desperately calls out his own inadequacy.\n\nMain Idea: Let’s be honest about sin.\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n4) Address Your Mess\u003cbr\u003e\n\nKey Verse: \"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!\" 1 John 3:1a\n\nScripture: The Prodigal Son, Luke 15:11-22\n\nJesus died for the messiest version of you. He addresses your mess with love and grace; not harsh judgement. When the baby Moses was placed in the Nile river, he didn't encounter any crocs, but he did have a meeting with Pharaoh's daughter which forever changed the course of history.\u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that “God can work all things for my good.” \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\nDay 2: Della Mode the Delta Toad\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Exodus 2:11-15, Moses Flees, Exodus 3:1-12, God Calls Moses\u003cbr\u003e\nColorado Smith was in certain peril, until Della Mode hopped to his rescue. Moses had fled Egypt for Midian, but God told Moses to “hop to it” and get back to Egypt and save God's people, the Israelites.\u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that “God loves me and has a purpose for my life.” \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\nDay 3: Cobra Cairo\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Exodus 7:8-13, Moses and Aaron Before Pharaoh\u003cbr\u003e\nColorado Smith hates snakes, or at least he did until he met Cairo, who showed him the way to slither into the secret chamber of the Puzzling Pyramids. When Moses demanded that Pharaoh release God's people, Pharaoh refused. There was no way into Pharaoh's hard heart. Not even when God performed miracles. Not even when God sent plagues over the land. \u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that “When God speaks, I will listen.”  \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\nDay 4: Felix the Pharaoh’s Feline\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Exodus 12:21-23, The Passover, Revelation 3:20-21, I Stand at the Door\u003cbr\u003e\nColorado Smith thought he would never find his way out of the Puzzling Pyramids, until he met Felix. Cats were treasured by the pharaohs, and although they are said to have 9 lives, they really only have one, just like every other living thing. But those who give their hearts to Jesus, are given a second life with Him. When God sent the final plague against Egypt, he provided a way for his people to be protected - they had to cover their doors with the blood of a lamb. Hundreds of years later, God sent another lamb, his Son, Jesus, to save us from sin and death forever. \u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will learn that “Jesus saves people from sin and death.” \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\nDay 5: Camilla Camel\u003cbr\u003e\nScripture: Exodus 14:10-31, Crossing the Red Sea\u003cbr\u003e\nColorado Smith makes his daring escape from the Puzzling Pyramid riding Camilla Camel. God miraculously designed camels to be able to travel through the desert for long periods of time without requiring water. Moses and God's people had made their escape from Egypt, but the Pharaoh went out with his army to bring them back. The Israelites were trapped. But God worked a miracle to save His people. Cain’s jealousy led to a cruel act that meant he would never again share a table with his family. Instead of being jealous, God wants us to be content just knowing Him. \u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will say, “Having God is enough for me!” \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nFrustration Beach (Frustration)\u003cbr\u003e\nMatthew 7:24-27, House on a Rock\u003cbr\u003e\nJust as the sands on the beach are constantly shifting, our world is constantly changing. All that change can leave us frustrated! When everything is shifting sand around us, we can stand firm knowing our foundation is in Jesus. \u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will say, “Jesus is my foundation.” \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nWeeping Rains (Sadness)\u003cbr\u003e\nMark 15:22-30, 37-41; Matthew 28:1-10, Jesus’ Death and Resurrection\u003cbr\u003e\nSadness can seem never ending, like a storm that just won’t let up. It can ruin a good luau. Fortunately, we have Jesus. Jesus can wipe away our tears and give us joy, even in the midst of great sadness. \u003cbr\u003e\nObjective: Kids will say, “Jesus can give me joy when I am sad.” \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nSweet Sweet Pineapple (Responding to bad emotions with kindness) \u003cbr\u003e\nActs 16:16-40, Paul and Silas in Jail\u003cbr\u003e\nWe can control our emotions to keep the luau going, but how do we respond to others who are threatening to bring down the party?
