God wants us to be there for people, He wants us to have their backs. Different Bibles translate this passage in several different ways. Your Bible might say, "Love always protects", "Love bears all things", "Love keeps every confidence", "Love never gives up", or some other variation. But they're all saying, basically, the same thing: we're supposed to be there for people. We're supposed to be like a roof over someone's head to cover them and shield them from the rain and snow. It's a hard life to live, but it's so worth it! Godly love always protects.
