Jesus called himself the Light of the World. He also told his disciples that they were the light of the world. During a solar eclipse, the moon moves in front of the sun and creates darkness where there was light. In the same way, when we try to “be good enough” by using our own abilities, we’ll be disappointed. We shine brightest when we reflect the light of the “Son” to others.

While Jesus was on the earth, he healed many and helped many. When Peter healed a lame man, he made it clear to the people that it was not his power but the power of God working in him to heal the man.
