It's not OK to be cruel or unkind to others any more than it's OK for others to be cruel or unkind to you! It's very easy to blame others for our own sin. We act as though life is like toppling dominos, "You can't blame me for knocking you down because the guy behind me knocked me down first!" But that's not how it works at all. We are each responsible for our actions. The Good News is that Jesus loves you in spite of your sin, not because all of the blame for your sin rests on someone else. We can't pass the blame or pretend that our sin isn't wrong. Jesus loves you so much that He died for you, and He will forgive your sins, but that doesn't make sin OK. There is no excuse for sin.
